Improving the auto shopping experience on Canada’s largest Automotive marketplace.
7 in 10 automobile shoppers in Canada use online videos to help guide their purchasing decisions, and online research is a crucial part of the purchase journey.
We made it easier and better for AutoTrader users to find and engage with our award-winning written and video auto-journalism. 🏆
Faced with constraints such as short turnaround time and minimal development cost/time, I was proud to accomplish:
A complete, responsive re-design (overhaul?) of the editorial sections on the homepage of AutoTrader for all viewports, including mobile, desktop, and tablet
Modernization of the site’s homepage by generating new copy and visual components that align with AutoTrader’s design system
Improved discoverability of editorial content, providing informative content to consumers at every step of their vehicle journey
Increased editorial backlinks on the homepage by 1000-3000%, from 1-3 links to 30, which dramatically improves SEO and makes it more likely for vehicle shoppers to find us
The design is now live to 26 million+ monthly visitors on AutoTrader.ca
